Hand Embroidery and Acrylic on Calico
26 March – 30 April 2026
Divana Art Space, CentralWorld, Bangkok
Returning to recurring motifs that have appeared throughout my practice, Silent Lava revisits animal imagery, the act of looking, and the relationship between internal states and material form. Influenced by psychoanalytic thought, I am interested in emotional conditions that resist direct articulation and continue to shape how we perceive ourselves and others.
Owls, moths, birds, and recurring eye motifs appear throughout the exhibition as psychological projections. Occupying an ambiguous territory between observation and imagination, familiarity and estrangement, these figures function as vessels through which intangible emotional states can take material form.
Through hand embroidery, the works examine the tension between holding on and letting go. Loose threads remain visible across the surface, not as imperfections to be concealed but as traces of an ongoing process of becoming. Through repetition and material transformation, Silent Lava explores how internal states become embedded within the surface of an image and continue to resonate beyond it.
